Mohenjo Daro is a 2016 Indian epic enterprise sentiment film composed and coordinated by Ashutosh Gowariker, It is created by Siddharth Roy Kapur for UTV Motion Pictures and Sunita Gowariker for Ashutosh Gowariker Productions (AGPPL), and highlights Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde in the number one spot parts. Set in the midst of the antiquated Indus Valley human advancement around 2016 B.C.E, an indigo agriculturist from Amri, Sindh named Sarman (Hrithik Roshan)kills a crocodile. After he returns to Amri, he communicates his need to go to Mohenjo-Daro, the old city. Nonetheless, his uncle Durjan (Nitish Bharadwaj) does not need Sarman to go into Mohenjo-Daro, until one day he says OK. Sarman, alongside Hojo goes upriver to the biggest city, Mohenjo-daro, where amid a road setback he spares the life of a delightful lady named Chaani (Pooja Hegde) who as “The Chosen One” in support of Sindhu Ma, the goddess of the waterway which is the focal point of their way of life, is “the image of Mother Sindhu’s effortlessness and gift.” But Sarman soon falls afoul of the legislator Maham (Kabir Bedi) and his child Moonja (Arunoday Singh) who are seizing force and beginning to lead Mohenjo Daro as a realm. To win Chaani, Sarman must annihilation Maham and stir the general population to spare their city. It is a true to life presentation referencing the old Indus Valley human advancement and its most noteworthy city, Mohenjo-daro, an UNESCO World Heritage site (now in Larkana, Sindh, Pakistan).The above synopsis is not half as ridiculous sounding as the film actually is! Ashutosh Gowariker’s takes the audiences to be buffoons who will fall for cartoony VFX and warped interpretation of history all mixed with some classic ingredients from his previous outings.
Hrithik Roshan with all the self-tanner and face quivering acting in the world couldn’t save this one! Instead he ends up hamming most of the scenes making them un-intentionally laughable. Pooja Hegde is simply annoying as she delivers every line in the same tone and every scene with the same expression. Arunoday Singh and Kabir Bedi are the better part of the film but even then it is hard to take them seriously amidst outrageous costumes and situations.
